Preventative Maintenance Can Make All The Difference

Preventative Maintenance Can Make All The Difference

Managing a commercial property can be a time consuming and expensive undertaking. When something goes wrong it usually carries ramifications and costs that far outstrips a similar issue on a residential property. This makes preventative maintenance all the more important to protect your investment. Now that spring is well underway we wanted to provide several tips to help keep your property in great condition.

Tend To Your Roof

The main advantage of preventative maintenance is that it allows you to catch small problems before they become big ones–or just stop them altogether. Nowhere is that more valuable than with your roof. Preventing a leak or a collapse will not only save money but prevent a number of potentially dangerous scenarios. This is why we developed our Roof Condition Analysis (RCA) Report. The report, which is produced from a 15 point visual inspection of your roof, will include photographs of immediate roof damage and problem areas, roof measurements and data gathered from infrared tools. We perform these inspections free of charge and they’re a great way to ensure the lasting integrity of your roof.

Have All Safety Equipment Inspected

More than anything the safety of your building’s occupants is paramount. Which is why it’s imperative that you ensure all of your building’s safety systems are all in working order. Be sure to have the following inspected thoroughly:

  • Fire Suppression Systems
  • Carbon Monoxide detectors
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Security Systems
  • Emergency Exits

Making sure these, and other, safety systems are properly maintained can make all of the difference in a life or death situation.

Have HVAC Systems Inspected

A building’s HVAC system is incredibly important and having it inspected annually can save you a lot of time and money in the long run. An HVAC system is similar to your roof in the way a small problem can go unnoticed until it worsens exponentially over time. An HVAC inspection will make sure the interior of your building remains comfortable even as temperatures rise throughout the year.
